Explorer + can't see preview

Hello,
I've been trying to put my developer to add the slider into my website. Simply what we want is to redirect the user to another page of our website once they click on the slider. I believe I chose correctly: the themed layout with carousel view and added the page url to be redirected.

My questions
1st: my developer says that with the internet explorer the slider doesn't appear (only Firefox). Is there any extra code to insert?
2nd: Is there a way to previous the slider?
3rd: can I pause/edit the slider without having to alter the codes (this way I can be independant from my developer)?

Thanks a lot,

Raquel

    Hi Raquel,

    1. Can you show me your site ? We've tested it in house for all 5 major browser (IE, Chrome, FIrefox, Safari, Opera) and all of them is working. There might be some other stuff that is giving the problem

    2. What do you mean by previous the slider ?

    3. Yes. Once you have finish the configuration, you'll be given a code and you just plug into a website. Just go back to the admin panel to edit the slider, it will take effect immediately on the website with that JS code.

    thanks

    Hi Rob,

    1. My website is www.clickagift.gr

    2. I mean while creating a slider I can’t preview it to see if I like it or not, (ex: font size, fonts, apearance of the text, etc...) before displaying it in the website.

    3. Great, can I also "pause" the slider for acouple of weeks and then put it running again on my website?

    Thanks a lot

    Raquel

    Hi Raquel

    1. I took a quick look at your website and it seems you are using jQuery. Why dont you try to include just the last 2 lines (instead of all 3 line of JS code) and see how it goes

    2. Unfortunately we do not have live preview function yet. The simplest way is just to create a dummy page, insert the ISU code there, and do the changes again without needing to insert the JS code again and you should be able to see your changes.

    3. In order to pause it, you'll need to manually comment out the code or remove it from your website. We do not offer this kind of functionality at this point of time

    thanks
    Rob

    Hi Rob!

    It's me again,

Well, it seems that I get a bit of the problem if I cannot myself edit the slider without having to bother my developer over and over. From what I see, every time I edit the slider (because I can’t preview it) I have to ask my developer to once again insert the "new" code of the edited slider. Is this correct?

Also, I did put a redirect page URL so that by clicking on the slider it would take them to a certain page of my website, but nothing happens. Am I doing the configuration wrong?

My developer has no idea why is still doesn’t work in IE, she did try to do as you suggested but it didn’t change a thing.

I'm the owner of the website and I manage the content but I'm not the web developer.

    Thanks

    Raquel

    Hi Raquel,

I check out all the comment. So basically you are saying even though you set the close to show again after user click on the close word, it just didnt appear again ?

The only reason i can think of it the prior effect is still taking place. Can you clear all your cookie, then try again ?

Let's continue the conversation here instead of my email so that we can track and resolve this properly ?

    Appreciate that a lot

    thanks
    Rob

    Hi Rob,

    Thanks for your email!

Yes, exactly! Anyway, I changed it so that it will slide up and down after 20 seconds, so I won’t be using this feature.

Thanks for all your help and patience :)
